Symptoms of Exercise Induced Asthma

As you can easily make out, exercise induced asthma is often triggered after a vigorous or prolonged exercise or after a lot of physical exertion. People with chronic asthma often face this problem of exercise induced asthma.

The symptoms are visible after five to 20 minutes of starting with the exercise. These become more prominent for about 5 to 10 minutes after stopping the exercise and after that start getting lesser. These diminish completely in an hour but may also last longer. Its symptoms can be one of these or a combination of them. These include coughing, wheezing, chest tightness, chest pain, and prolonged shortness of breath or extreme fatigue.

Symptoms might also be visible in children. Your child may complain of not being able to compete with peers in games as well as sports. They might not be interested in games or may even avoid taking part in the sports related events. If such symptoms are ignored then this can lead to the problems of socialization or self-esteem in your child.

Thus it becomes really essential to seek assistance and contact your health-care professional. You can work out an action plan with your health-care professional for this purpose.
